Boards
The Board of Elders shall advise, consult and participate with the Pastor concerning the worship and spiritual life of the church.
The Board of Trustees shall have the custody and control of all the temporalities and property, real and personal, belonging to this church, and of the revenues therefrom and shall administer the same for the support and maintenance of the church.
The Board of Missions and Outreach shall plan, supervise and coordinate the outreach, mission and service programs of the church, local as well as national and international, and shall oversee all programs and expenditures of funds for such purposes. It shall promote education for missions, outreach and service as part of the total Christian Education program of the church and shall encourage and promote ways for members of this church to minister to our community. It shall also appoint representatives of this church to various and selected agencies, institutions or other entities, as the Church Council shall from time to time determine.
The Board of Christian Education shall supervise and direct the educational programs of the church for children, young people and adults. It shall endeavor to lead all into an increasing fellowship with God and further their development of a character, which shall be genuinely and consistently Christian in all relationships. It shall endeavor to develop their interest in the church and their desire and ability to participate in its life and work.
The Board of Deacons shall minister to the poor, the sick, the sorrowing and other in need and act as liaisons to church families.
The Board of Family Ministries shall supervise and direct the youth programs and provide the youth of our church with an environment for spiritual, social and personal growth. It shall promote the involvement of our youth both within the church and the community by providing a Senior Youth Program and a Junior Youth Program. The Board of Youth Ministry shall promote a feeling of youth being active members of this church.
Committees
The Music Committee shall care for the music library, musical instruments and choir robes. It shall also make recommendations to the Board of Elders and take such other actions as the Board of Elders shall deem appropriate in regard to the music and music programs of the church.
The Memorial Committee shall receive memorial funds and gifts, acknowledge them and send a memorial card to the closet of kin when the gift is associated with a death. The Chairperson of the Memorial Committee shall deposit such funds in the Memorial Fund account.
The Stewardship Committee shall be responsible for enlisting the personal and financial commitment of the members and friends of this church and educating them regarding their stewardship obligations.
The Membership Committee shall encourage prospective members to join this church, orient new members in the goals and organization of the church, and help integrate new members into the life of the church
The Nominating Committee shall prepare a nominating ballot of officers, Board members and Standing Committee members to be filled at the next annual meeting. They shall also seek out and recommend nominees to fill such vacancies as may occur during the year.
The Endowment Committee shall receive, manage, and disburse funds in the Endowment Fund under policies and guidelines established by the Board of Trustees.
