Welcome to the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

We invite you to walk with us as we deepen our faith through worship, fellowship, outreach, music, study and more.

Our MISSION is to love God by serving others in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our VISION directs all our work:  United in Christ's love to be a blessing to our church and our neighbors.

Together we are the Church.  Come, grow in Christ with us!

Upcoming Services, Events & Opportunities to Serve

Out of care for one another during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are continuing to keep "social distancing." Public Worship Services, book and Bible studies continue to be suspended until further notice.  At this time, our leadership has opted for an extended reopening time to ensure the safety of our church members.  The leaders of our church will keep you posted via the weekly News-in-the-Pews, church-wide emails, The Epistle newsletter, and our church’s website on our reopening status.

We will continue to provide a 9:30 A.M. live-streamed Worship Service on our church’s Facebook page. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098.  Also, an audio Worship Service will be recorded and downloaded to our church’s website (www.fairportucc.org) each Sunday by 11:15 A.M. All of our Church Boards, Committees, and Church Council will conduct meetings via Zoom or email.

Pastor Greg Rupright encourages anyone who has a pastoral concern or prayer request to contact him at any time: revgregrup.ucc@gmail.com; 585-966-9416 (cell); 585-223-0224 (church).

THURSDAY, JULY 2nd - check the Pastor's Blog Bible Study & Reflection on our church's website: www.fairportucc.org.  Just click Pastor's Blog.  This week's Pastor's Blog Bible Study & Reflection is on Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30.  Reply to the blog or email Pastor Greg any of your reflections on this passage.

SUNDAY, JULY 5th at 9:30 AM BROADCAST SERVICE (www.fairportucc.org - click the sermons tab) - FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST - VIRTUAL HOLY COMMUNION.  The Sunday Message, "The Blessedness of Being a Burden," will focus on Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30.  We live in a culture that celebrates liberation, freedom, and independence.  We would like to live our lives in such a way that we are not a burden to anybody.  And yet, God has created us for connection, relationship, and interdependence.  Jesus comes to us, not offering us complete independence, but a new set of dependencies so that we can be truly free.  Jesus unburdens us by placing burdens upon us that we would not have had, without our following the Way of Jesus.  Heather Watras, our Director of Music Ministries, will sing a pre-recorded solo, "Bless This Land" by Sally DeFord.  Youth instrumentalists will be sharing a Prelude and a Postlude.  COME JOIN US VIA OUR WEBSITE BROADCAST OR OUR FACEBOOK PAGE LIVE-STREAM WORSHIP SERVICE (https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098). ALL ARE WELCOME!

NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, OR WHERE YOU ARE ON LIFE'S JOURNEY, YOU ARE WELCOME IN THIS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST.  OUR GOD IS STILL SPEAKING! GOD LOVES YOU, AND SO DO WE!
