Welcome to the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

We invite you to walk with us as we deepen our faith through worship, fellowship, outreach, music, study and more.

Our MISSION is to love God by serving others in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our VISION directs all our work:  United in Christ's love to be a blessing to our church and our neighbors.

Together we are the Church.  Come, grow in Christ with us!

Upcoming Services, Events & Opportunities to Serve

Out of care for one another during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are continuing to keep "social distancing." As of Sunday, September 13th, we have reopened our public (in-person) 9:30 A.M. Worship Service.  We ask that all people worshipping in-person would continue to follow the safety protocols which were mentioned in the Reopening Letter:  Reminder that everyone should have signed in on the Tracing Log.  We are required to maintain a list of everyone entering our church. Please wear your mask throughout the Worship Service and while you are inside the church.  At the conclusion of the Prayers of the People, please pray the Lord's Prayer in the silence of your hearts and minds.  At the end of the Service, please wait for the ushers to dismiss your pew row.  There will be no coffee hour or other indoor socializing, but please feel free to socialize outdoors as the weather permits.  Prayer requests must be emailed to Pastor Greg by 8:00 A.M. on Sunday morning.  Thank you for helping to make our in-person Worship Service a healthy and positive experience.

We will continue to provide a 9:30 A.M. live-streamed Worship Service on our church’s Facebook page. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098.  Also, an audio Worship Service will be recorded and downloaded to our church’s website (www.fairportucc.org) each Sunday by 11:15 A.M. All of our Church Boards, Committees, and Church Council will conduct meetings via Zoom or email.

Pastor Greg Rupright encourages anyone who has a pastoral concern or prayer request to contact him at any time: revgregrup.ucc@gmail.com; 585-966-9416 (cell); 585-223-0224 (church).

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15th - check the Pastor's Blog Bible Study on our church's website: www.fairportucc.org. Just click Pastor's Blog. This week's Pastor's Blog Bible Study is on Matthew 22:15-22. Reply to the blog or email Pastor Greg any of your reflections on this passage.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th at 9:30 AM PUBLIC WORSHIP SERVICE (www.fairportucc.org - click the sermons tab) - NINETEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST.  The Sunday Message, "Making Your Vote Count!" will focus on Matthew 22:15-22.  Because of Jesus Christ, followers of the Way of Jesus have some distinctive views about politics.  Jesus is no pet of the political right or left nor of any democracy or dictatorship.  Jesus keeps pointing us to the implicatons of the worship of the God of Israel and the Church.  Because Jesus is Lord and Caesar is not (no matter what guise he presents himself in), we ought to think about politics and elections, in a peculiarly confounding way as followers of the Way of Jesus.  Susan Jay, our soloist, will share "People Need the Lord," Words & Music by Phil McHugh & Greg Nelson.  Susan will also share a Choral Postlude, "Be Still and Know," Words & Music by Steven Curtis Chapman; arranged by Lloyd Larswon.   COME JOIN US IN PERSON OR VIA OUR WEBSITE AUDIO SERVICE OR OUR FACEBOOK PAGE LIVE-STREAM WORSHIP SERVICE (https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098). ALL ARE WELCOME!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18TH at 1:00-2:30 PM - FIRST CONFIRMATION SESSION IN THE UPPER FELLOWSHIP HALL.

NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, OR WHERE YOU ARE ON LIFE'S JOURNEY, YOU ARE WELCOME IN THIS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST.  OUR GOD IS STILL SPEAKING! GOD LOVES YOU, AND SO DO WE!
